An adventure in New Zealand | Newmarket Holidays

New Zealand is considered by many to be one of the world’s most fascinating countries. This destination is composed of two islands, each of which is home to its own unique combination of lively resort towns, vibrant cities and stunning natural beauty. Newmarket Holidays offers an affordable escorted tour of New Zealand, which includes the most interesting attractions of both islands.

The first two days of this trip with Newmarket will be spent travelling from London to Christchurch. After arriving on day three, your guide will greet you at the airport, and provide you with a quick city orientation tour before sending you off to your hotel. You will Newmarket Holidayshen be given some time to rest after your long journey, or to take in the local sights at your leisure. On the fourth day, there will be an optional excursion to Kaikoura, an east coast resort. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to go on a thrilling whale-watching cruise to see these amazing creatures up close.

The following morning, you and the other Newmarket Holidays customers will set off on a scenic journey across the Canterbury Plains, passing Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekpako as you head towards the Southern Alps. You will then enter Queenstown, where you’ll get to enjoy a two night stay in a lovely local hotel. The following day, you’ll have plenty of  free time to take in the sights and enjoy some fun activities, such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping and jet boating. There is also another optional excursion for you to experience if you wish, to Milford Sound, one of the most breathtaking natural fjords in the world.

After two nights, the group will travel towards the grasslands of Central Otago. The scenery during this part of the journey is incredible, and nature enthusiasts will find this leg of the trip especially enjoyable. Upon reaching the Fox Glacier, you will stay in a hotel for two nights, and during this time you can participate in a half-day hike around the area, and bask in the beauty of the glacial wilderness.

Two days after this, it will be time to take to the coach once again. Over the course of the next day or so, you’ll get to see Hokitika, a town that was once a Gold Rush port, as well as Nelson and Tasman Bay. Day ten of this trip will include lunch, which will be held within the scenic surroundings of Abel Tasman National Park.
